Evidence-based assessment informed by lived experience
Dr Emma Minns is a HCPC Registered Clinical Psychologist with experience of working alongside neurodivergent children, young people and adults both in the NHS and private sectors. Dr Minns graduated as a Practitioner Psychologist in 2018 and has since solely worked with neurodivergent individuals in a number of sectors both face to face and remotely.
Dr Minns is passionate about supporting, those with neurodevelopmental differences and considering an individuals’ needs, taking in to consideration alternative explanations and differential diagnoses including, but not limited to, trauma, mental health needs, attachment difficulties and learning differences. As an individual who has herself been diagnosed with ADHD, Dr Minns understands the challenges faced by neurodivergent others and offers a compassionate, understanding and flexible approach to all of her work.
Dr Minns is trained to administer, score and interpret the ADOS-2, ADI-R, Qb test and ACE assessments. She has also undergone training in the diagnosis and management of ADHD with Dr Joe Johnson (UKAAN).
