Is ADHD Medication the Right Step?

If you’ve been assessed by one of our partner clinics, we can help you start treatment without delay.

Our clinicians will talk with you about your goals, your past experience (if any), and help you decide what’s right for your body and mind.

You’ll always be supported, and you’re never locked into treatment.

Your Safety Is Our Priority

All medication is prescribed by licensed professionals in line with NICE guidance and UK medical standards.

We’ll always review your clinical history and vitals before starting any treatment.

If we have concerns, we’ll contact you and may suggest alternatives—your wellbeing comes first.

Why This Step Matters

Starting medication isn’t just about managing symptoms — it’s about reclaiming focus, balance, and long-term wellbeing.

Medication can reduce distractibility, racing thoughts, and impulsivity. With careful titration and monitoring, many people feel calmer, more organised, and more in control of day-to-day tasks.

When core symptoms ease, coaching, CBT, and study/work strategies stick better. We review regularly and fine-tune your dose so improvements arrive more quickly and stay consistent.

Better focus creates headspace for healthy habits—sleep, planning, nutrition, and exercise. We pair treatment with practical tools and reasonable adjustments for home, work, and university.

FAQs

Yes, if you’ve had a valid ADHD diagnosis from a qualified clinic or psychologist, you can book directly. You can find more details about our process on the Adult ADHD Assessment page.

Once your report is uploaded our clinical team will review it. If everything is confirmed you will be invited to book your first treatment review with one of our clinicians.

Once your report is accepted, you can usually book an appointment within a few weeks. Exact times depend on availability.

We do not recommend specific medication until after a full clinical assessment. If medication is appropriate, our clinicians will discuss the available options and the steps involved in starting treatment. All decisions follow UK prescribing guidance and are based on what is safe and suitable for you.

Yes, we’ll need a brief GP summary. There’s no need to book a GP appointment — simply contact your GP surgery and ask for a printed summary of your medical history.

Typically, you’ll start with an initial titration appointment, followed by 2–3 follow-up reviews. The exact number depends on how quickly we find the right dose for you.

Yes, we do. Once your medication is stabilised, we can prepare a shared care agreement for your GP so they can continue prescribing. Not all GPs accept shared care, but we’ll provide the necessary documentation.

No. The appointment covers the consultation and titration, but the actual medication cost is paid directly to your pharmacy.

If your GP does not agree to shared care you can continue your ongoing treatment plan directly with our clinic. We will guide and support you with whichever setup works best for your situation.

Yes. During titration, your prescriber will monitor your response and adjust medication as needed until we find the right option.

We primarily prescribe for adults, but please contact us directly if you’re enquiring about under-18s so we can advise on the correct pathway.

No, we don’t issue emergency prescriptions. Please contact your GP or local NHS urgent service in such cases.
