Understanding Your Child’s Unique Needs

Every child develops in their own way, but when challenges with attention, emotions, or social interaction start to affect daily life, parents often have questions. When ADHD and Autism traits overlap, it can be especially hard to know where to begin.

Our combined assessment explores all areas together, giving families a clearer understanding of their child’s needs and practical guidance on the next steps for support.

Frequently Asked Questions

Got questions? We’re here to help.

Understanding your child’s behaviour can feel confusing and overwhelming. Our clinicians answer the most common questions parents ask, so you can feel clear, supported, and confident about what happens next.

Yes.
Your child will receive a clear ADHD assessment report that follows NICE guidance and is written by UK registered clinicians. Schools use these reports to understand needs, put support in place, and make adjustments. We also include practical recommendations that teachers can act on immediately.

Yes.
Our assessments follow national standards and include all the information GPs expect when reviewing an ADHD diagnosis. Many parents use our reports when talking to their GP about school support, onward referrals, or shared care discussions.

This is very common.
Many children show ADHD traits more strongly at home where they feel safe and unmasked, and they may appear fine at school because the environment is structured. We assess behaviour across settings using both parent and teacher questionnaires so we get an accurate picture of what is really happening.

Masking is well understood.
Some children work hard to hide their difficulties in school or around others, which can make ADHD harder to spot. We look beyond surface behaviour by exploring emotional patterns, struggles at home, fatigue, and how much effort it takes for your child to cope. Masking does not prevent an accurate assessment.

Yes.
Appointments are calm, unrushed, and tailored to your child’s comfort level. They can bring a toy or comfort item, take breaks, and you can stay with them throughout. Our clinicians work gently and explain things in simple language so your child feels safe and understood.

Yes.
All assessments are done online so your child stays comfortable at home. This avoids travel and helps children feel more relaxed, which often leads to a better assessment. Parents tell us this is easier for everyone.
