Dr Darren O’Reilly is a Chartered Psychologist and specialist in ADHD and Autism, with over 11 years of experience working in mental health and neurodevelopmental services.

Diagnosed with ADHD himself, Dr O’Reilly brings both professional expertise and lived experience to his work. His approach is grounded in a deep understanding of the real world challenges of ADHD and Autism, beyond diagnostic criteria alone. He uses evidence based, compassionate, and practical methods to help adults, professionals, and university students gain clarity, access appropriate support, and move forward with confidence.

Dr O’Reilly conducts comprehensive ADHD and Autism assessments through virtual consultations, supporting individuals to better understand their neurodivergence, explore treatment options where appropriate, and develop effective coping strategies tailored to their lives.

His specialist training in psychology, data science, and neurodevelopmental assessment allows him to take a structured, analytical approach to both ADHD and Autism assessments, ensuring recommendations are accurate, personalised, and clinically robust.

Academic & Research Contributions

Dr O’Reilly spent six years at the University of Edinburgh, where he developed specialist ADHD coaching programmes for university students, supporting academic success, confidence, and wellbeing. He has presented research at the British Psychological Society (BPS) Annual Conference (2022) and remains committed to advancing best practice in ADHD and Autism assessment and intervention.
