Meet Our Experts
Qualified, compassionate professionals dedicated to ADHD & autism care and neurodiversity.
Combining scientific rigour with lived experience to support meaningful change
Dr Tracy King is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with over twenty-six years of experience across clinical, forensic, and occupational settings. She specialises in Autism, ADHD, trauma, and complex psychological presentations, providing evidence-based assessment and formulation for adults, adolescents, and children.
Diagnosed with ADHD herself, and as a parent of neurodivergent children with ADHD, autism, and dyslexia, Dr King combines professional expertise with personal understanding. This dual perspective helps her recognise the real-world challenges faced by individuals and families navigating neurodiversity, translating clinical findings into meaningful, practical guidance.
Her work integrates neuropsychological and developmental understanding with trauma-informed practice, ensuring that every assessment reflects the individual’s full context. She has a particular clinical interest in women’s health, including how hormonal changes and perimenopause can influence neurodevelopmental presentation and diagnosis. Her approach promotes more accurate and sensitive understanding of late-diagnosed women, whose symptoms may have been masked or misunderstood in traditional diagnostic pathways.
Her approach reflects a belief that diagnostic work should do more than provide clarity—it should empower understanding and self-acceptance
Academic & Research Contributions
Dr King has extensive experience in Autism and ADHD assessment and service development across NHS and independent sectors. She has contributed to regional initiatives within the Kent & Medway Primary Care Trust, helping reduce waiting times and improve access to neurodevelopmental assessments.
She has also provided specialist assessments for Priory Hospitals, supporting Autism and Mental Health units with complex diagnostic cases. Her diagnostic work utilises recognised tools such as the Diagnostic Interview for ADHD in Adults (DIVA) and the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) to ensure high clinical standards.
