Meet Our Experts

Qualified, compassionate professionals dedicated to ADHD & autism care and neurodiversity.

ADHD and complex mental health aren’t just my areas of expertise. They’re the work I’ve dedicated my career to.

James is a highly experienced Mental Health Nurse and Independent Prescriber with over 18 years’ post‑qualification experience delivering specialist mental health care across NHS, commissioned, private, and international settings. He has an established reputation for supporting adults with complex mental illness, with a particular specialism in ADHD, neurodiversity, and trauma‑informed care.

James works as an ADHD Specialist Practitioner, competent to provide a trauma-informed and neuro affirming approach to diagnostic assessments and structured medication titration, delivering clinical review for adults diagnosed with ADHD.

Alongside clinical practice, James holds experience in senior leadership expertise. He has successfully designed, commissioned, and delivered multi‑disciplinary mental health and neurodiversity services, including his key involvement in a ground‑breaking neurodiversity project commissioned by Merseyside Police to reduce serious and violent crime.

James has held clinical leadership and prescribing roles in primary care, where he led the development of integrated mental health services within GP practices, managed complex risk and suicidality, and delivered training to medical teams on best practice for mental health management and neurodiversity‑inclusive care.

Internationally, James was commissioned by the Foreign & Commonwealth Office as part of a small team to design and implement a national mental health service for the island of St Helena, one of the most remotes islands on earth. His work was instrumental in introducing community safe prescribing, addiction services, crisis and admission pathways, as well as workforce training within a highly resource‑limited and isolated environment.

Across his career, James has consistently worked with people experiencing severe mental illness, neurodevelopmental conditions, trauma, addiction, and acute crisis, including those at high risk of self‑harm and suicide. He brings a neuro‑affirmative, compassionate, and evidence‑based approach, combining advanced clinical reasoning with a strong commitment to patient safety, safeguarding, and ethical practice.
