Christina Efthymiou

Christina Efthymiou is a Neurodevelopmental Practitioner and Assistant Psychologist with extensive experience working with children, young people and adults with autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, acquired brain injury and complex mental health needs, across NHS, forensic, research and charitable settings.

Christina has been involved in multidisciplinary assessments for autism and ADHD in children and young people aged 2 to 19. Her role includes conducting comprehensive informant interviews and contributing to diagnostic decision-making.

Alongside her current role, Christina has worked across a wide range of specialist NHS services, including Learning Disability CAMHS and the Norfolk and Suffolk Harmful Sexual Behaviour Service. She has extensive experience delivering evidence-based psychological interventions, undertaking neurodevelopmental and cognitive assessments, developing psychological formulations, and supporting children, families, schools and multidisciplinary teams. She has particular expertise in adapting therapeutic approaches for people with autism, ADHD, learning disabilities and other neurodevelopmental differences, and experience using neuropsychological assessment tools including the WISC-V and WAIS-IV.

Christina is passionate about providing compassionate, evidence-based and neuroaffirming care. She believes in working collaboratively with families to understand each person’s unique strengths and challenges, so that assessments and recommendations are practical, meaningful and tailored to the individual.
